Baron did 70 miles of ‘product testing’ on Saturday and 100 miles of ‘product testing’ on Sunday; 60 miles of Sunday’s ride looked something like this:

OK, I took that photo off the web, but it was wet and not so warm. There comes a time on an epic ride where you are torn between stopping to warm up and get food and hot drink, or continuing on and forgoing re-entering the freezing environment and just getting it over with.
Local pro Adrian Hegvary joined us for the ride and thankfully didn’t torture us too much. You can follow his musings HERE. His blog is one of the few that if I see more than 3 sentences i DON’T navigate away and will take the time to read it.
Not only is he racing on US Pro team United Healthcare, he’s still in law school. Now that’s a Renaissance man. I’d like to tell myself that he was worn out by the end of the ride but I know he just took it easy on us.
I’m going to get a few things this week. One, is a Showers Pass elite 2.0 jacket, I don’t care if it doesn’t pack down as tight as a standard rain cape; rides like Sundays are beyond the love a clear rain jacket offers. The second item is a waterproof nutter butter dispenser. I don’t know if it exists, but if it does I’m going to find it.
And lastly, thank you Nutter Butter for getting me home.
